Register your repository to share and receive spam intelligence. Reports from fossier instances across GitHub are collected here so known spammers can be blocked before they reach your repo.
The global registry is designed for maintainers of established open source projects. When you register: your repository's spam reports (whether generated automatically by the Fossier GitHub Action or submitted manually via the CLI) are contributed to the shared database.
To keep the registry fair and resistant to abuse, reports are weighted by signals such as repository age, star count, and contributor history. This means a report from a well-established project carries appropriate weight, while best-effort preventing any single actor from gaming the system.
If you maintain a public repository that receives pull requests from external contributors, the registry can help you and the broader open source community stay ahead of spam.
